Royal Apex was founded in a small loft on Schenectady Avenue in Brooklyn, New York, in 1924 by Max Rachlin, Egbert Steenhuisen and Harry F. Kriegel, the father of Harry R. Kriegel, the present owner. The company grew from a small operation to become a major supplier for other manufacturers and wholesale distributors of: rain carrying equipment and accessories, flashings, roof moldings, gutter coil, trim coil, and aluminum soffit systems.
